1988 Pioneer 4.0L 5spd. Radiator leaking on battery side, can't tell exactly where its coming from without removing battery, fan  shroud ; are Mopars still available, are they the same as one for a Cherokee,is the aftermarket ones the same or better? Also one time before I posted about the axillary fan, someone replied that a fan from a grand cherokee was better, what year cherokee?

Thanks

A Cherokee radiator from 87-01 will swap right in. You also have the option to upgrade to a "open" cooling system if you purchase 1 from a 91+ model Cherokee. Theres a few write ups about the conversion in the DIY section (y)

When it happened on my 98...

It was a hairline split on the corner side if the radiator...,

With the engine off and cold just pour water in the radiator and you'll locate the leak almost instantly

The 1997 and up XJs had the 10-blade fan. The connector was different so you will have to splice in your old fan connector. Also these fans draw about five more amps on startup, so you may have to increase the fuse size appropriately.
