outlaw star Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Well, this will make her happy. Along with a flush (CLR), new hoses and fresh coolant.
8valvehero Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 :ack: HOLY BLOCKAGE BATMAN! Do the radiator and heater core still flow???
outlaw star Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 :ack: HOLY BLOCKAGE BATMAN! Do the radiator and heater core still flow??? Just the radiator, the heater core is removed. I will be removing the head to clean it and the block out. The radiator is already flushed out. THIS is why Blue Devil and other crap is a temp fix only.
outlaw star Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 Sorry guys but won't get to do much to her for about three more weeks cause my unit has ECT starting Friday in Ft Dix, NJ.
outlaw star Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Outlaw Do you have a part # to that cps? Napa/Echlin High Altitude CPSPN: ECH CSS637 Price: $46.99
outlaw star Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Hey guys, my mission is almost complete. When I get back I want to paint my Mj. The motorpool Sgt said he'd give me a gallon of desert sand mil-spec paint if I paint my Mj with it and put 766 EN CO on the bed corner in flat black. Should I take him up on it?
outlaw star Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 Replaced the shoes, pads and hardware in the brake system along with a good flush/bleeding. Running Lucas Dot 4 Synthetic fluid. (compliments of 4Wheel Parts).
88whitemanche Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Sweet.... What's your take on the paint Job? Planning on doing a 4x4 swap?
outlaw star Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Figured I'm just gonna repaint her dark blue again. It's only gonna cost me 550. 4x4 swap will be last. I really don't mud anymore so no crazy lift either. Besides I only had 31s on my Xj and it went just about everywhere I wanted.
jbain Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I almost painted my truck Desert Tan.... but after the first few trips I'd banged it up bad enough that a paintjob no longer seemed important..... might be something to consider though.... the light color will hide alot of the imperfections.

This is true.... Although my truck is white...you barely see any imperfections until you really look at it at an angle.... I have a lot of little small holes and mini dents because of the trees in the trails
outlaw star Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 Gonna try to flush all the gunk outta my brake lines this weekend.
outlaw star Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 Well, if the weather holds out I might be able to fix my brakes.......
outlaw star Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 New brakes and hardware all around. Dropped her off for four 235/75R15 tires.
collkid Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Yup. Most basic tire in that size. Guess it's good enough for the road though! Â Thing has potential.
outlaw star Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 It's all I need for now as it's 2wd and I really don't off-road as much anymore. (Army unit takes all my free time)
outlaw star Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Finally got a day off so today, I'm redoing the headliner, coating the rims and cleaning up the interior.
8valvehero Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 my headliner was a snap. if you get a chance, put jute or insulation of some kind behind it. it really helps with cab noise.
outlaw star Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Crap...headliner was wayy too brittle and a little soggy from the small windshield leak. I got her drying out in my shed under two work lights. Once dry, I'm going to attempt to fiberglass a shell and go from there.
outlaw star Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Been busy but just got the block dropped back in. .040 overbore and a few other goodies inside. Lol. Cyl head should be ready by Monday. Port n polish, .020 shaved and three angle valve job.
outlaw star Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Dang pics didn't load, round two.also picked up a transmission to rebuild.
