13 Legion
Hey all hope everyone is doing well. Recently took my Jeep down to my local dealer for an oil leak problem. It's a 2.5 4 speed with 130,000 miles. Told the guy not sure where the leak was coming from as I have recently started replacing old leaking gaskets(rear diff, pinion, valve cover). When I left I told him I hope it was nothing serious, because I couldn't justify a $1000 bill on a $1000 dollar truck!! He called me back later in the day and said it was the rear main seal and this was a common problem with these trucks. He said I know what I told him about the bill but the write up for it was $970. He told me my truck is in way to good condition to get rid of(sell) because of this. My dilemma is this. I've called around and most shops don't even want to deal with this because basically they can't guarantee their work. What I'm looking for is a good write up(searched DIY forum) in order to do this. Thanks for any and all help. It's going to get done soon. Keep Calm and Jeep On!!

mnkyboy
I just did mine, it was pretty easy. If you can handle a clutch job the seal will be no problem..
onlyinajeep726
What mnkyboy said. By the way, I like those factory rims. I did mine that way too coupled with the chrome rings.
