id like a new one with the upper tint, local glass shops or safelite has them in stock. very helpful when driving with the sun in your face!

Yeah, mine needs a better windshield, plus needs some body work around the edges when it's out. Body shop wants a minimum of a grand to do it, probably closer to 3 grand (their words) so I'm gonna do it myself.

Wow. I'm not sure why it would be that much. Unless they're just saying a crazy high number because they don't want to do it. and if you said yes then they'd make a ton on it incase it leaked or something....

Yeah, most body shops get a ton for insurance jobs, so they don't want to do anything else. It's really unfortunate

Thats true I took my truck to one of the large body shops in my area for an estimate and they wouldn't give me one. My truck has zero rust, they just needed to fix a coulpe dents in the bed and tailgate. They told me that was more of a restoration project and they don't do that.

Sad what our world is coming to. Gone is the $100 paint job, and the $50 motor swaps. Anything that is older than 5 years old, they don't want to look at, and the ones they do, well now! they want over 4 grand to paint my 83 firebird, that has t-tops!! Very little paint needed imo
