91Pioneer
Ok some late nights thoughts, this jeeps going to need: -Brakes ( front and rear to be safe) -All fluids swapped -windshield -misc old man blue interior parts -tires -expensive UK motor parts - Vermin removal -possible wiring/interior repair from mice -passenger cab corner (possibly) - body work -headliner Pretty big list can a TD Manche owner message me to help me value this.?? With the exception of the engine parts, the rest of that is pretty common stuff. So what I'm saying is buy the dam* thing already so I can get project updates. It'd be great to see it back on the road!
JENSSEN
I worry that the engine has been open an exposed so long it may be fubar'd
JENSSEN
I don't know if I can get PMs on this tapatalk crap, so my email is my user name @racingforthecure.ca all in lower case. BTW how many diesel Comanches were made for North America? Any rough numbers for Canada and the USA?
terrawombat
I have left engines outside and uncovered for much longer and they are still running to this day If you're really worried, unscrew the glow plugs and squirt some oil down in the cylinder. I know a lot of folks love using that Marvel Mystery oil crap for this procedure, but regular oil will do just fine. Afterwards, spin the motor over by hand or bump the starter motor over. Now, can you buy the damn thing already? :D

JENSSEN
Question for the diesel gurus,... Is there a gasket for the exhaust manifold? Turbo to manifold? I will have a laundry list of questions when I get it home
Automan2164
Yep. Pick up a gasket kit for it. I bought a couple complete sets of eBay from Hamburg Germany. Rob
JENSSEN
Which one is the part number??? I am building a order on rock auto currently and it's not even home yet
Automan2164
Try a few, or just see if Rock auto has a gasket set. You might be better off than me if you've been exposed to the French language, as a lot of the Renault parts aren't in english. Rog
JENSSEN
Found it, need to polish up on my French!! I have a good grasp on the language but with proper French,.. "Slang" words throw me, found a few kits around $130 shipped,..was your kit in that price range? Btw thanks to the mods!! I can post now without the tapatalk bull s#it
Automan2164
Sounds a bit on the pricey side, especially because I had bought 2 at the time. If I would have had to pay $260, I'd have never bought more than one... I'll do some digging. Rob
