Since the driveshaft is at an angle, It actually doesnt take much for 4-5" of lift. When i SOA'd mine, It only pulled about an inch maybe 1.25 inches out of the trans. shelbyluvv Posted February 24, 2014 Share Posted February 24, 2014 No, stock joints are fine. You are seriously over thinking this. Do the SOA and set the pinion in line with the t-case. You will not need a longer SY. You have a long bed and it will be happy with the driveline angles. Start researching shock mounts now. That is a whole new ball of wax on a MJ. mvusse Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Drop pitman arm will actually worsen the angle difference between the drag link and the track bar, causing bump steer.
