54bobby
guys, I started the truck for the first time in a week today and the oil pressure gauge is acting up. hovers around zero, then up to its normal 45 or 50 then will drop down again. was operating fine when parked last week. I did crack the valve cover last week and had some oil blow out. it coated the fire wall and all workings by the trans dip stick. where is the oil pressure switch? or what else could be doing this. Jeep Driver
Check the connection to the sender. Also, clean your grounds.

onlyinajeep726
It's the same sender for 4.0 or 2.5. He said he had a gauge and it was going back and forth from 0 to 45-50, so that rules out the idiot light cluster.

onlyinajeep726
You have a 2.5 with an AW4? Isn't that a super rare drivetrain from the factory or have I been misinformed?
54bobby
I believe it is super rare but I do believe that's what it is. after all, it is a larado, but to be sure, how can I tell?
