Hi-

just bled my brakes in the 'manche for the first time.

Started in the rear, pulled fluid, everything okay.

Moved to the front, and started pumping away (I have a homemade hand vacuum pump) and nothing was happening...tried the driver's side, and still nothing....

Frustrated, I pulled the bleed nipple all the way out, and fluid poured out...great...

THE RUB IS I found out that the FRONT BLEED NIPPLES do not have a thru-hole. This is new to me WHAT GIVES? Someone please explain. I guess i am mising something, but how does one bleed their brakes without this again...?

Thanks!

There should be a bleed hole. Is it possible that someone installed speed bleeders in your calipers, and the plungers are frozen?

Need more information about your ride.  Calipers original to the truck?  I was about to ask the same thing as Eagle.  Did previous owner swap out OEM bleeders for Speed Bleeders and the spring/ball assy has become faulty.  Check out this website to see what I'm talking about.  http://speedbleeder.com/

Sorry guys gor the late response.

it's '92 and all stock down there,

Its crazy, I removed the bleeder from one of the calipers completely. It is definitely sealed metal where I'd expect there to be a thru-hole. I don't get it. I really don't think they are speed bleeders (internal ball and sping).

Like I mentioned before, I removed a good (90%) amount of the old fluid from the reservior via a suction pump, so it's beeter than it was. I can see why it probably hasn't been done it 20 years :)

guess my best bet would be to exchange these for true bleeders.....

**Anyone know where I can buy these online?**

Thanks again!

IMHO it's not worth buying them on-line. The shipping will eat up any saving. Go to your local AutoZone or Advance or Shucks or NAPA and just buy 'em there.

Yep. Easy to say now that you have the Dorman part number.  :rotfl2:

I've found Summit and Jegs hard to beat if there is no big hurry for the part - Both have online price match & both have superfast FedX/UPS delivery - Only dif is that Jegs is DIY online match while Summit is call the CS number & give the guy the info - - In this case Summit will match the eBay BigRedAutoParts $9.80 & Free S&H - Summit also beats a price by a small % & still sends the low $ orders FX/UPS  - Jegs sells this item but not online - at least not listed on eBay - - One of the reasons I like the Fast Jegs/Summit delivery/price match thing is the $ it saves me in gas - 5-6 bucks typical round trip to nearest AutoVancedRiley -
