ggcnash Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Hey guys found a donor xj for my swap an auto 4.0 mail truck question is should I have concerns about the driving equipment being on the right side or will this still be a simple bolt up project thanks in advance for any help
ggcnash Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 Just looking to steal the front axle trans and tcase with linkages I have a column so will be using existing equipment as far as that goes any help would be appreciated planning on buying this thing this week as far as I know just the interior is swapped around just trying to make sure trans and t case and axles are the same nothing else backwards
Alexia Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 The front axle brackets will be mirrored from the left hand drive version.
FrankTheDog Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 The track bar bracket is on the opposite side of the axle than what yours is. Right hand drive has the steering box opposite of where yours is so linkages are mirror image.
ggcnash Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 So basically will not work for an easy swap right
ggcnash Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 Thanks looks like I'll just pass on this one
