knever3 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I have an empty plug under the air box on my '87 Comanche. It's a 2 pin just like the MAT sensor MALE with a green waterproof rubber grommet. Does anyone know what this is supposed to plug into? Photobucket is not working for me today, neither is Picasa :fs1: It looks like this except with two pins. I thought I knew at one time but now I forgot.
onlyinajeep726 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 It plugs into the temperature switch in the radiator that turns on the electric fan when the coolant gets too hot. It plugs into this thing: The above fan switch screws into this opening:
mvusse Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 That explains why I have that plug as well. My truck came without an auxiliary fan from the factory, I have since added one with a home made controller run off a sensor in a HO thermostat housing.
knever3 Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 It seems I already have that pluged into something?? I will look when I get home I guess.
knever3 Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 So this would not affect anything if it was not plugged in? I don't have an electric fan yet.
onlyinajeep726 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Edit, I misread Don's post... nevermind.
