skidoo_j
I've had one of these and love it. Allows a conversion to open system and also eliminates that pos plastic tank. I've had mine in now for just shy of 3 years and no problems since install.
87mjdriver
It worked great, I had a massive radiator leak so I thought I would to the closed to open swap since I was doing that much work
JeepComanche89
How does this allow for a open system? thanks
skidoo_j
It allows you to add an overflow bottle. The cap is 16lbs i think. All hoses connect exactly as the factory purge bottle and it fits perfectly in the factory location, however there is a nipple under the cap for the over flow. You run it to an over flow bottle and bingo it purges when hot and sucks back in when cools
HOrnbrod
So by using this tank in the Renix closed system, you don't need to swap in a new HO radiator with the filler cap to convert to an open system, si? Then I assume you block off the unused hose nipple. That's slick. Adds a little bling too.
Oyaji
Adds a little bling too. That's 'man-bling' - it IS for a Jeep, after all! ;)
fiatslug87
So by using this tank in the Renix closed system, you don't need to swap in a new HO radiator with the filler cap to convert to an open system, si? Then I assume you block off the unused hose nipple. That's slick. Adds a little bling too. There is no unused hose nipple, has the two original hose attachments and an overflow nipple. I have these in all three of mine, a bit pricey new but for me totally worth it.
