Comanche County
They got lucky against the Tigers, the only good thing coming out of Detroit was the Tigers this year.
HOrnbrod
They got lucky against the Tigers, the only good thing coming out of Detroit was the Tigers this year. Yeah right. They finished 2012 dead-last in the AL East. This year they run away in the AL East, then cruise by Tampa Bay 3-1 and Detroit 4-2 in the playoffs. Luck had nothing to do with it mate. Comanche County
Don, I'm just mad the Rangers didn't make it, please allow me a few days of blame-osity till I recover from the Rangers loss. I'll be good in a day or two.
HOrnbrod
Understand Jay. Now they have lost the great Nolan too. I suspect he got sick of the front office politics.
Comanche County
Probably so Don, probably so. The millionaires that own the team have lost their best "inside" man in Nolan. Don't think the Rangers will get back to 2010, 2011 shape for some time to come. I'm preparing myself for dark ages for the next couple of years. They don't have the money to get the right players, and the good guys they have now will be in free agency soon.

A simple managerial change dumping the waste POS Bobby Valentine turned everything around.
Comanche County
I hear ya, its strange how Bobby V didn't work out up north, but he's still a hero down in Arlington....so goes the wonders of the world and baseball. Good on the Sox, hope they take the series! They're such a storied franchise and deserve the trophy,,,,,,(but I predict it will all be due to Napoli for sure since he's a former Ranger, haha!) HOrnbrod
What a tough loss for the Sox last night. The game was ended in the bottom of the 9th, score tied, when the umps called an "obstruction" call on the Sox third baseman and allowed the runner from third to score to win it for the Cards. After watching the replays, you have to agree with the call, but it was a crappy way to end a World Serious game, no matter who won or lost. The Sox are now down 2-1, but that's okay. They'll come back. Remember in 04, down 3-0, then coming back to win four straight against the Yanks to win the ALCS? Down 2-1 is nothing they can't fix starting tonight. I hope.................
