badazzelanore Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Has anyone added drain plugs in the floor boards like the wranglers have in them or can anyone tell me is it as easy as drilling a hole in the areas where water pools prior to bedlining the floors?
gogmorgo Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Don't know if they're identical to the Wrangler drain plugs, but there are already drain plugs in the floor pans, towards the front of the footwells. They may be easier to find from underneath.
AeroNautical Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Yeah, they've already got em. Two on the bed, also.
badazzelanore Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 The big round ones? I plan on leaving the hole open when I bed line the floors. Those drain holes are a lot largernthan I want to have open all the time. I want somethin the same size as the wrangler.
ftpiercecracker1 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 How bout drillin a smaller hole and plugging it with a boat plug?
dave92cherokee Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I don't remember the part number but when I did that with my old XJ there's smaller 1" holes in the floor that can be popped out. I went to oreilly's auto parts and in the help section there were some small rubber plugs that fit perfectly. Only problem was the factory holes aren't usually in the position where the water pools up at. Best bet would be to rip out the carpet and pad then pour some water in the floorboard and see where it pools up at. Then you can drill a hole dead center of it so it'll always drain properly and completely.
