TCAdkins
Today I'm going to replace my brake lines for newer ones (previous owner already put extended ones in, but it looks like their is a crack and leak in one.) I just need any advice on alternate ways of bleeding the lines without bleeder valves. My bleeder valves are so stripped you can't even use vice grips... 87manche1
Use a bolt extractor. And install new bleeders
yxmj
Can't "Bleed" with out the bleeder. . You will have to get new set of valves and replace the old ones. I have busted them off and used an "Easy out" in the past...even drilled and taped a couple...Try the vice grip method....if you have new ones sitting there sometimes it is easier to be rough on the old ones....DO NOT use a torch to heat them (saw that once). If it is the rear....around here a whole new cylinder (with valve) is only $20.....front obviosly would be more. Good luck
TCAdkins
Okay thanks. When I pick up more brake fluid I'll get new bleeders.
sloride
Get yourself set of speedbleeders. You'll be glad you did.
reece146
Put some penetrating oil on the bleeders before you go get new ones. They'll be ready to come out by the time you come back.
Keyav8r
Ditto on speedbleeders! One man brake bleeding at it's best (with the exception of pressure bleeding).
