Air Conditioner Output Slows When Accelerating

Recommended Posts

My AC works great but under even slight acceleration or load on the engine, the output air flow all but stops. I figure it is vacuum related but don't have a clue where to start poking and proding the old gal. Any advise or instructional link will be appreciated.

And without vacuum is defaults to the windshield (defrost). If you hold your hand up there you will find out it will be blowing there when it quits coming out the vents.

Basically the check valve (either built into the vacuum reservoir, or separate in the line leading to it) is not working anymore.

And after all that, relocate the vacuum ball to the underside of your coolant bottle bracket, eliminating all those problematic vacuum lines running to the bumper and back.

Good tip! Thanks.....
