TheDirtyJeep401 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Wanting to see what options I have thats cheap.
TheDirtyJeep401 Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Would I have to get wheel spacers? They are going on Jeep Ravine rims
Pete M Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I think that might make it worse by putting the tires into the fenders at full turn.. oh, and add WJ lower control arms to that mix.
Biotex Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I understand the WJ arms are beefier, and allow more room for the tires at full lock, but can't remember if they are longer. I'm wanting to get longer lowers, but don't want to spend for the cost of new adjustable ones. JY WJ ones would be good enough for my needs. OT. If you shop around on mudflaps.com, you can usually find some pretty good deals on coils. Pete M Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 they are not longer, but there is some adjustment in the rear mounting point to push the arm forward. aftermarket arms with a round cross-section will also work. they may not allow as much turn, but when the tire hits it won't catch as bad as stock arms.
TheDirtyJeep401 Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 So WJ arms are not as big, therefore the tires won't rub or rub as bad when at full lock? Are they the same length/ (sorry don't know much about it)
mnkyboy Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 The WJ arms have a bend in them which gives more clearance.
