What Is The Quickest You've Sold A Vehicle?

Multiple offers? First come first serve. Talk to the person who contacted you first, and if it sells, contact the other people saying you appreciate their interest but it has been sold. That's what I do. Also have a 97 Jeep wrangler on craigslist... it's been over 6 months and no credible offers, haha. I mean, I know wranglers don't compare to comanches, but cmon!

If you're listing a TJ Wrangler in the Charlotte Craigslist (where I sold mine) and it hasn't sold in six months, there is either something really wrong with it, or you're asking too much.  Specs and price?

Honestly I think it's just my luck so far. It was pushed back on the CL pages, and anyone who did manage to find it wants a trade or lowball.

97 Jeep Wrangler

2.5L (one of the big problems right there) It's been overhauled and runs as such, like it's brand new. The engines a slug for that vehicle, though.

113000 original

newish soft top and doors BesTop

Original hard half doors

15in american racing atx wheels

asking 4700, but negotiable.

So between getting buried and having a pos 2.5L, nobody wants it, haha.

I get more offers on my MJ than on that damn wrangler

Gotta ask, what's so bad about the 2.5 in a TJ? I would think it would get better mileage? I know I'd jump on it if I had that kind of funds, always wanted a TJ to cruise around in.

You would think...but they're not.  They tend to get very similar mileage numbers to the 4.0L.

So, you've got an underpowered engine that gets similar mileage to its bigger brother.  It becomes a no-brainer.

Got ya, same reason I didn't buy a 4dr JK a few years back basically. I'd probably still take one though if the price was right, just so that I wouldn't have to drive the MJ when I visit my family since they live in a town that has become rampant with break-ins and such.

Either way still a good looking TJ, love the half doors.

a few years back I bought an 84 honda magna 700 on CL, gave the guy cash, got in my car, immedietly called a friend of mine, sodl it to him fro $800 (paid $600), went and picked it up later that night, and had it out of my driveway the next morning.  so I'd say 2 minutes. crazy thing is i only called my friend to tell him what I got, he offered my $800 because he wanted it.

I sold my '74 J10 in a day. Would have been less if IFSJA didn't go down while the guy that wanted to buy it was trying to contact me. He ended up finding my duplicate f/s post on FSJN though and got me there. He basically said "I'm coming to get the truck with asking price cash in hand". Came all the way from Buffalo, NY to central OH on new years day to collect the truck and then turned right back around.

I was shocked how fast it sold, and the distance the buyer was. Should have kept it, but I'm glad it went to a good home and I'll find another someday when I have a place of my own with spare room for toys. My goal is to have both MJ and Gladiator, the two best trucks money can buy if ya ask me.  . :MJ 1: .

There's a gladiator a buddy of my dad is trying to sell right now, In washington.

to answer the original question...

i had a nissan altima my wife went in the ditch with. wasn't her fault, semi driver even said he never saw her and she clearly had the right of way. after she got out of the hospital from being checked out with no serious injuries, i went and loaded it up on my tow dolly and stopped by my parents for a few minutes. i was going to haul it off to the scrap yard so i was taking out the stereo and the new battery, personal stuff, etc, but some other scrapper saw it when he drove by, turned around, and made an offer. i sold it before it was even "for sale"

a friend of mine did something like that in florida a few years ago. bought a crappy honda civic from some guy for like $700 and never took the sign out of the window, 4 blocks later someone stopped him and bought it for $1000.
