Factory Skid Plate

Hey guys

Does anyone have pics of one with a 4 cylinder?

I'm trying to figure out how it mounts on the frame because it seems to be block by the front motor mount

I will see if I can get some pics of mine. It doesn't interfere with any mounts but it does bolt down in same spot as the vibration dampener on the passenger side. You just put the skid plate on then the dampener mount goes over it.

Is it hard to remove that dampener? Or is it that simple to just remove the three bolts and reattach them again with the skid plate?

I wondered about this exact thing a while back when I tried to look to see if it would mount up and saw that the damper was in the way. Glad theres a simple solution!

Quick question, kind of off topic but sort of related.  That dampener... why is it used on the 4-banger but not the 4.0?

I read that it's sapose to help with the engine vibration...also monkyboy I have a question about the other side of the vibration dampene. is the hole sapose to be threaded or did you thread it yourself? Because I look into the hole and its not threaded and since its in the frame rail I don't want to poke holes that's not nessacery....

Wait! I ended saving the bolts from the cherokee I took it off of and bam it fits!!!!!
