Biotex
The plan was to paint my truck in the AM. I logged onto the weather to see what was in store. Seems the winds are going to gust as high as 40mph. I'm indoors, so not undoable, but just bad luck that I have to stress over dust. I really don't want to call it off, so am going for it. I'm excited that I will soon be driving again and can move on towards more fun stuff. Will post pictures in my build section titled 'Maura gets a face lift". Just wanted to vent some frustrations over the weather not cooperating.

JeepcoMJ
take a bit of time with a windex bottle to spray mist down over everything you can in the surrounding area in order to wet down any potential dust and keep it from rising into the air. Good luck!

Biotex
I plan to hose down the shop floor, everything else, I will have plastic over. I bought a lot of plastic sheets, so should be fine. Going to start masking in a couple of hours...

We had about 12" of snow Monday night and are expecting 6 to 8" more today.... Mine is ready to go to the booth or so I am led to believe.... I can't remember, what color are you going??? 87Warrior
You might want to consider rolling up towels (burrito style), soaking in water and placing them around the cracks in the garage (doors, windows, chunks of siding missing, etc) to help keep the wind out. Just finished the paint job. Took me 4.5 hours including taping it off. I had one fisheye in the paint on the driver side door right next to the door lock. must have missed some oil??? Had one run in the final clear coat. I sprayed four coats, so it will color sand out, no problem. No other issues i could see. I took some pics, but they are still in the camera. Will get them posted up real soon. I'm very happy the way it turned out.

Biotex
Is this your first time every painting? If so how hard was it? Been painting for several years. One of the things I like to do, is to do all the work myself when I restore or mod vehicles. If i don't know how to do something, I learn. Painting is not difficult, just a ton of manual labor sanding and such. Yes there is an art to the actual paint application, and I recommend at the very least to spen some time around the pros. Sometimes you can volunteer at a bodyshop and pick up on some tips. that is how I learned.
