Biotex
Was wondering what you all are doing for replacements. The two front liners are off for paint right now, and I wouldn't mind replacing at minimum the driver side one. I suppose I could try to repair the tear, but would rather not. No JY's in my area. ftpiercecracker1
Just FYI, I got mine from a cherokee in a JY just a few days ago, worked perfect, took a while to find a set that would not crumble in my hands. This is the only place i have ever found them, new. http://c2cfabrication.com/store/index.php?cPath=1_21_38&sort=4a&page=2&osCsid=1njsm1876n6hij9sovcei0pl53 Although, i have never checked RockAuto. Bornindesert
That's a great link, bookmarked! Gotta love Gypsy parts lol. Biotex, did you get all the flares off without breaking off the backing plate studs? Mine did not cooperate, most broke off. The one item I would have liked to see on the c2cfabrication site was not offered, the wheel flare attachment backers....
Exgrayxj
Not sure if they are all like the ones I got, but the set I got from rock auto are made of very thin plastic, pretty close to vinyl sheeting! Haven't put them in yet, I think I may hold off for some jy factory ones ... I don't know if the 97 up ones work or not.
ftpiercecracker1
. . . the wheel flare attachment backers.... Junkyard is going to be your best bet, or you could make your own. Think i saw a post on just that not to long ago. :hmm: The Cherokee i pulled mine off of literally did not have a speck of dirt on it, i would have eaten off of the frame it was so clean. sinkrun
I have heard the 97 up ones are a great upgrade much more pliable. As far as the bolts breaking just grind the head off and then drill or pound the broken studs out replace with bolts you will have to tack weld them in place there is room to leave the head on them. I broke a bunch of them yes, but I had read on here about using bolts, so I didn't sweat it. Another reason though, is I'm 90% sure I'm going with bushwhacker flat fender flares, so no need for the backers. I am wanting to keep the inner liners though, so thanks for the tips so far. Looks to me that those are the inner fenders made of metal, not the plastic liners. Am I missing them? That is a great site though for front end crash parts. Prices are awesomely cheap IMO. Wish I would have seen those replacement rockers for $25 each instead of me welding in patch panels... Wonder if the metal is OEM quality?
ftpiercecracker1
WARNING: Those are not OE rockers and will not fit right, without extreme cutting/hacking of rocker.
92tanMJ
WARNING: Those are not OE rockers and will not fit right, without extreme cutting/hacking of rocker. How much cutting is needed? And I don't see why the 97+ wouldnt work. If nothing else grab the newer finders with it
ftpiercecracker1
How much cutting is needed? Tons, there was a thread on here not to long ago where somebody used these exact rockers. Said they werent even close to fitting, took hours of cutting, bending and rewelding to get them to fit right.
sinkrun
The metal is excellent quality on those rocker however the fits is bad. I was the one who actually had a shop rebend at a angle to make them fit better but not great.

I won't do business with a company that won't bother to reply to a customer when there is a problem, and attempt to resolve it. a "we'll look into it" doesn't cut it. 92tanMJ
So what do you all do for REAR inner fender liners? Because mine has a whole in it, should I just weld in new metal?

I would patch the holes, and spray in bed liner or undercoating.
