mpace6a Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Locked my passenger door for the first time the other day..unlocked it, and it wouldnt open. Managed to get the door panel off with the door shut, and despite disengaging the lock, neither the linkage for the inside or outside handle will open the door? Not sure what to do at this point.
88whitemanche Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Pb blaster the crap out of the locking mechanism and have someone outside the truck to push the button in the handle while pulling and you inside the door pulling back and forth the linkage and it'll let loose took a few times to get it open but it'll eventually let loose
92tanMJ Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 The back door in my cheroke got stucked closed, your 'locking arm' probably slipped off. I would suggest pulling off the door panel and reaching in there and manually unlocking/opening with a big screwdriver by pusing down the locking C clip thing that holds the lock. Sounds confusing but its hard to explain, thats what I did in mine.

Randomly tried today and its works again, so i'm just gonna leave it alone for the time being

watchamakalit Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 My driver dour has a funny trick to it. If I push the outside button when Its locked I have to unlock it from the inside. I haven't figured it out, but it works until I find some 97+ doors
