ftpiercecracker1
I need the circuit board that goes onto the back of the gauge cluster, mine has several burnt/broken sections in the copper ribbion that are causing some electrical issues. Truck Details: 1990, 4.0, 5spd, 4x4, Eliminator, FULL cluster These are the numbers printed in copper on the circuit board itself. OP-088-01 546-0089 If anyone is going to their junkyard i will gladly reimburse you for the part and pay for shipping to my address if you find one in good condition. The junkyards in my area either don't have jeeps old enough or charge absurd prices. Thanks a bunch fellas ftpiercecracker
maddzz1
Is it the same as the one with the dummy lights? If it is I may still have my old one and can send it to you? I may have thrown it away tho.
Geonovast
No, it's not. It might (but probably not) be the same as the 3/4 cluster with the dummy lights and the tach, but if it's got the big fuel gauge, it is definitely different.

jimoshel
Have you tried repairing the old one? Clean the foil real good and solder a copper wire across the break.
ftpiercecracker1
Have you tried repairing the old one? Clean the foil real good and solder a copper wire across the break. yup, but i totally suck at soldering and there are a few places that are broken. The jumper did make a difference, but i think i have a bigger problem than i originally thought. Like 128ohms of resistance on a ground wire run directly to a solid ground. jimoshel
It does take a steady hand and low heat. I have found that sometimes it's easier to go to a tie point on the same circuit and tie into it, If it's a long run you will want to use insulated wire. Ont he bad ground could you tie into another ground point?
jimoshel
OK. I got one. $20 shipped. Thats just for the circuit foil, That's kind of steep but I am breaking up a good cluster. Perhaps if anyone wants a tach, speedo or one of the gauges I can average the prices out and come down a little. Around here a complete cluster goes for $40. Geonovast
I'm 99% sure I have an 88 full cluster that's already been taken all apart and has half the pieces missing, but it's a good 100 miles away, and I have no idea when I would be up there again. Geonovast
A bunch of nonsensical posts disappeared. And that's an internet meme thing. It made sense when I posted it, now it doesn't... :hmm:
HOrnbrod
It was Jim's fault. He's very nonsensical.

I was asking if the board you needed was the same in both clusters (the one with dummy lights and the one with gauges)? I have a dummy light cluster that I could pull the board from. But Correy said it won't work with yours because yours has the gauges.
