jimoshel
Welcome Elmer, and I agree with you. When I was in Manilla I couldn't believe the number of Jitneys running around the place.
Biotex
Hi Elmer, When it comes to older Jeeps, we need replacement panels that are the same thickness as original metals. We are willing to pay a bit extra to have this. It is well known that most other countries do not produce steel as good a quality as US steel, so there is no substitute for thickness. You asked, so I told it to you as I see it.

HOrnbrod
Hello pare Elmer; I spent almost twenty years in the Philippines based out of Subic and know where your place is in Caloocan. I drove a stainless "owner" Jeepney most of the time there that had a 327 Chevy engine and Muncie transmission, built by a small shop in Quezon City. I tried to export it back to the States when the bases closed but US Customs said no. Did a lot of communications work at the Embassy, Basa AFB in Pampanga, Villamor, Angat, Baguio, all over Luzon. Good times. The asawa is from Iloilo and we go back about every 2-3 years to see the family. Keep in touch here Elmer.
Sir Sam
Do you have the ability to stamp any off the "Jeep" lettering found in the side body panels? And if so would you be interested in setting up with a distributor to sell these stampings in the US? I refer to stampings such as these:
Biotex
Those are copyrighted.... They would have to pay chrysler.
Sir Sam
Those are copyrighted.... They would have to pay chrysler. Some of the firms that make reproductions are already licensed and have the old OEM tooling, so literally the same machine that made a flat fender in WWII is making the panels now. (there are several outfits out there that do have the stamping dies actually) Hence why I asked if they had the ability to stamp any of those. Plus, its not like international trademarks have stopped anyone before.

Comanche County
If its the same company probably so...Rommel has been on a couple of the 2A/3A boards to get consumer feedback on his products. Classic Enterprises also sells everything like that too, kinda pricey though. If you want the raised letters Sam, its probably cheaper just to work in a cut out from an old hood or tailgate. http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/mdjuan-tubs_topic27368.html?KW=rommel http://cj3apage.com/forum-yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1361112894
