Biotex Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Sounds like the mutifunction switch might have gone bad. Not too pricey, but a bear to change.
Dadinator Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Do the hazards and turn signals use the same flasher? Replace it and see if it fixes your problem.
JFAComanche6 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 They all have needle fuel gauges so the sender would work with either cluster. Its the temp and oil pressure senders that have to be changed. Nope, I guarantee you this one was a dummy light gas guage. It was a light with a giant gas pump on it.
dhisso Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 Well my gas gauge on the old gauge panel worked, so it possibly is just a bad panel. I guess I'll take it back and try to find another one. As for the turn signals haven't fixed that issue yet, going to buy some new bulbs and try those out tonight.
dhisso Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 Okay quick question will a 2057 work for the turn signal bulbs? I think the front and rear use different ones. Am I correct?
mnkyboy Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Nope, I guarantee you this one was a dummy light gas guage. It was a light with a giant gas pump on it. A light is not a guage, are you talking about the low fuel light? It still would have a needle guage.

You should be able to take the old one out and swap it into your new cluster.
foreman1063 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I think he's saying that nothing in the new cluster is working, probably a bad cluster.

Might try using an eraser on the metal ribbon connectors. Those copper strips on the back of the cluster get corrosion. A pencil eraser will clean them up nicely. Same for around where the lights twist in.
dhisso Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Yea exactly what foreman1063 said, Nothing seem to be working. I did take it apart to look around and I noticed behind the speedo it looks brown like it had been burnt or something.
