I figure since its still like 7 months away, you guys can figure out what needs to be done in order to make the trip. There are a few of us that have started the idea via instagram, but it'll just be easier to get a running dialog on here. Obviously, the dates are waaay up in the air, so feel free to chime in and let us know what works or doesnt work. I'm pretty flexible, (and only 3 hours away), but will be more than happy to be the lead on this end of things. ROLL CALL!!!!!!

Exxon Valdez Jeep Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I'm going with NAXJA for the 30th anniversary event the 8-12th of October. Went for the 25th in 08 and had an awesome time. Moab is an awesome place, you'll have fun no matter when you go.
Backdraft Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Subscribing. I havent been to Moab since the N fall fling in 04. Next year would be a good time to go back. I'm flexible on dates as well, but I'm not interested in burning to a crisp!!!!

So far, I am in, sounds like Backdraft is in, Dirteatr717 is in, and 87Warrior and drcomanche are maybes. Plus i know a few local guys that will be down for a Moab trip (both MJs and non MJs)
Dirteatr717 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Whenever we get around to picking a date, I'll have to leave NY about a week before that, while I'm heading out west I might as well bring basically everything from fishing poles to my longboard and maybe my snowboard and make a stop at a glacier in CO hahah For some it's just a trip to Moab, for me and a couple buddies it's a cross country roadtrip exploring and being complete tourists until we arrive at Moab! Can you tell I'm excited?

It sucked. the middle states arent called the 'fly-over' states for nothin' haha. but if you plan the right route, it would be a blast. def take your time, do your homework, and set yourself up for a sweet roadtrip!!

Is that alright for you guys?

Like....'wheel at night, stay in the shade/go swimming during the day' kinda hot. there is NO shade out on the trails; its like wheeling in a parking lot. no shade, and the sun heats up the rock so much that youve got heat comin back up at you...
