88whitemanche
Hey guys If anyone has swapped the swapped the swaybar from a v8 sway bar how is the performance compared to the stock mj one and what harfware was needed to put the swaybar in or is it just like swap and go? Thanks
HOrnbrod
It thicker than the MJ bar so you will need new bushings where it attaches to the cross brace. It mounts just like the stock bar. And it does help with body roll since it's beefier.

AMCJeepMJ
Don't make the mistake of picking up a sway bar from an inline 6 equipped ZJ; the contour of the bar will not clear the bottom of an OEM-shaped radiator of a 2.5 equipped MJ. Thabks hornbrod Welcome. Most of my front end is ZJ V8 components; sway bar, tie rod, steering box, and drag link. The steering stabilizer (OME) and track bar (Teraflex) are aftermarket. Works well for me.

88whitemanche
Hey hornbrod how much more or less would everything be suspension wise from a v8 zj? Well just a rough number because the moog is suoer exspensive but also known for bang for your buck literally
HOrnbrod
If you mean used stuff from a yard, no idea. Don't do that for steering or brakes. I used all NOS stuff I found on Ebay and other places. And Moog used to be good stuff. Now it's made in China like the rest of the junk unless you're lucky to find some original ols NOS stuff.
88whitemanche
Well not used I mean brand new should I invest putting the v8 suspension...regarding track bar, tie rods, draglink and mainly in that area of suspension
HOrnbrod
I kind of replaced my stuff as it wore out. And if your rig is over 100K it won't have far to go, especially if you run bigger tires. If I noticed slop somewhere, I replaced it. Usually you can find NOS Mopar stuff for the same or in some cases even less than offshore junk on Fleabay. Replaced the drag link last week; that was the last of the original front end, except for ball joints. They are next. here's a pretty good place for NOS Jeep parts. They have some great sales occasionally. http://www.tapcointernational.com/store/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=differential
