neohic Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 My wife has family out in Colorado. Both her mom and her uncle are turning 50 before the end of the year so they decided that it was a good idea to share a big birthday party. What better place to hold it than in Ellicott, Colorado?! Here's how it went: Went on a road trip... Took a walk... Tried something new... ... did amazing too!... Made a new friend... Went to the zoo... Did some more driving into Wyoming... Stopped in Meeteetse... Did some advertising... Stopped in Cody... Found a good place to stop for a while... Went to a little park for a couple days... Every once in a while, I'd get a reminder of everyone here... ... there was a bunch more but never while I had a decent camera... Dinner was and was with a Buffalo... Kept going... Dam... Made our way through Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and back home in one, long day... We got back home late last night. Had a ton of fun but it's good to be back where I belong. ... one more for the van just because of the countless Star Trek references and quotes along the whole trip. Happy 46th anniversary of Star Trek everyone!

87Warrior Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Did your new friend give you any rust free MJ parts to haul up north? :brows: What a great collection of pictures. Looks like you guys saw a lot of country!
neohic Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 Did your new friend give you any rust free MJ parts to haul up north? :brows: I did walk away with a 10 slot grill as a parting gift... I suppose that doesn't have any rust on it! There was another truck that I held my tongue about at the time due to an issue with driving back. As far as parts, there was a space constraint. I'm sure Jim would've loved to get rid of that one being that it "didn't have any rust on it until I showed up". There was a link in there: Made a new friend... I really wasn't after anything this time around. Very happy with the time of day and the hand shake. Besides, it's in a better place for now. I'm sure there will be a next time if not an invitation to Jim to make his way up here for something. Just like anyone else here, any CC member is welcome to stop for a visit.
