CoryMJ89 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 so when my front end drops out my shocks hit the unibody and start to bow the shock before it gets to its full drop out so i was wondering anyone done coilovers? where to get some? or how to fix this situation? thanks!
86FUBAR Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 :hmm: so what suspension are ya running ? I'm up around 8"+ with longarms and I don't have any problems . Your shocks aint mounted upside down are they , as in the shock body end is mounted to the body ? Pics ......
mvusse Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I run 6.25" in front on short arms causing the axle to swing back a lot more under droop with 11" suspension travel and have no issues with shock clearance or the shocks bending.
Eagle Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I think you need limit straps on the suspension.
CoryMJ89 Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 I'm runningg rustys 8.5-9 longarm with a 1 inch spacer with 14inch 5125 bilestiens as it drops out and the axle moves down my shock will end up hittin the unibody forcing the shock to bend
Dirteatr717 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 You need to use a host website like flickr, photobucket, tinypic, Facebook and copy the link and paste it in-between these tags--> just click the Img button in the toolbar above and tahdah Also is there a need for over 10" of lift? Is just the driver side shock hitting? If so you need to adjust your trackbar so the axle sits a hair more towards the driver side or relocate the axle side shock mounts out further.

CoryMJ89 Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 no its both sides driver and passenger side that hit and idk ill have to look there from trail gear.. and at rest?
HOrnbrod Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 At rest = measurement between the upper and lower mounting points with the truck stopped and sitting on flat ground. The Bilstein part number is stamped on the body.
