jimoshel
Neohic, Ben, and his lovely wife dropped in for a visit today. It was a 75 mile drive one way for them. Very nice people and I enjoyed the visit immensely.
Zenobian_84
  Sounds like it was a nice surprise. Wish I lived closer to some of you guys out West; would be nice to be able to talk cars with people who know their stuff.
Automan2164
Always nice to meet a member, and Ben and his wife are two of the nicest people around. Rob
Comanche County
Little do people know that the kids show "Bob the Builder" was actually based on our very own Ben...because he can build anything. "Can he build it, YES HE CAN". Some network suit decided to change the name to "Bob" instead of "Ben" and focus on non-automotive related builds for the show, which I believe is a disservice to our youth. Every kid in America should be looking up to Ben and strive to emulate his "building" abilities.
neohic
FINALLY! INTERNET ACCESS!!!!! :clapping: I was going to start a new thread, but I guess Jim beat me to it. ...Wish I lived closer to some of you guys out West; would be nice to be able to talk cars with people who know their stuff. No need to live anywhere specific. That's the beauty of CC... where ever you go, there's one of us! Last year for the Detroit get together, a few members couldn't get out there so I tried to stop and meet those along my way. I only ended up being able to get together with Brent, but I had a great time all the same. Good burger too. Thanks again for the ride, Brent! Always nice to meet a member, and Ben and his wife are two of the nicest people around. Neohic, Ben, and his lovely wife dropped in for a visit today. It was a 75 mile drive one way for them. Very nice people and I enjoyed the visit immensely. Same on this end. Had an amazing time walking around the yard and meeting the whole MJ group... Mr. Skinner too! I kept thinking about your question of "Anything you can't live without?"... didn't want to say it at the time because I'm in a bit of a pickle for getting it home right now... but I would've taken that RUSTY green truck off your hands! I would've even offered exactly the same as what you paid for it! Nice bunch of trucks all around though. I'm still dripping with envy over all of the beautiful rocker panels. 75 miles? How about 1000!... and I'd do it again too. Next time when I've got a bit more time to get together with more members too. Great to meet you, Jim! Thanks for the Pepsi!

neohic
If I didn't know any better Ben, I'd swear that was Dirty Harry you were standing next to. Nope... not even close. Jim is thousands of times cooler. :chillin: Robyn (wifey) took the picture and afterwards on the drive back she turns to me and says, "You know Jim looked way cooler than you, right?". I had no choice but to agree.
Backdraft
I vote for a makeover of ComancheClubs home page using this photo of Jim and Ben somewhere on it. Classic pic guys. Y'all have that "all is right with the world" look about you.

Thanks for the Pepsi! Well why didn't you say something? $500 it's yours. You could have drove it back and let the wife drive yours. I was figuring from Ellicott. Figured you made the trip from there just for the eyeball. Humph!. Dern lights crooked, AGAIN!. Image Not Found for the folks wondering who Mr Skinner is. Y'all have that "all is right with the world" look about you. No, Jim's arms are way too huge. Seriously, he can pull engines without a hoist. I'm afraid his awesomeness and "CDI" factor (Chicks Dig It factor) will scare people away. He's way too awesome.
neohic
...I would've even offered exactly the same as what you paid for it!... ...Well why didn't you say something? $500 it's yours... Meh... I'll get you next time. The key this trip is cheap. Shared driving out. Shared lodging. Shared food. What can I say... I'm cheap. The truck is in a better place right now anyhow. If I were to have taken it, it would've just gone to hell. Besides, that stop of rust on the bumper that wasn't there until some northerner showed up isn't going anywhere fast. It'll probably even go away while I'm not in your rust free state. For those who don't know, it seems as though if you come from a rust belt state then you're no better than a rusty plague carrying rat.
neohic
... okay so I've been thinking about it and then I made the mistake of talking to the wife more about it. I should've taken that truck off your hands when I was closer. Ah well... I'll be back at some point. If it's still there when I get back then we'll cross this bridge again. :fool: I was more than happy just a hardy hand shake and the time.
