mpace6a
Started my mj for the first time today, found out i need to either rebuild the carb or get a new one. I want to simplify it as much as possible, and was wondering if anyone would know about this? http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/product_p/wk490.htm
cruiser54
I've done those Weber conversions on 258s, Hondas, Toyotas etc with excellent results.
dasbulliwagen
I agree, thats the way to go. Ive also done one on a 258, and have done a few on air cooled VW's, and a buddy just did one on a Toyota 22R. Go for it!
mpace6a
What about a motorcraft 2 barrel?i think it would need an adapter plate, but has anyone tried those? i ask because my dad told me he has one sitting in his garage, and free is always nice when you don't have a budget
dasbulliwagen
From what I know about the Webers, they are jetted to be close for specific applications. Theres no telling what the Motorcraft has in it or if youll ever be able to tune it properly for your application. I would stick with the Weber.
