Coolant temperature sender

Hey guys

 

I wanted to know what's the difference the coolant temperature sender for the dummy lights and for the One for the gauge cluster...if Anything if you could give me the part number to the one for the gauges?

The difference is that the one for the dummy light is a simple ON/OFF switch, and the one for the gauges is a variable resistor.

Just go to the parts store and get one for your truck with gauge..........

Well that's what I've trying to do but I've been going to go to an independent parts store which is the middle man for advance auto parts and auto zone and pep boys but it seems like the sales rep doesn't know what coolant sender to get I've been fortunate enough to know what the oil pressure sender looks like with pics here off the forum but no luck with the coolant sender

The correct part number is 53005309 for the 88 2.5L w. gauges. Many sources online (do a search) or bring the p/n to your local parts house and have them cross it.
