feerocknok
The weather stripping on my doors is destroyed and causes quite a draft in the cab, but I'm not sure where to get replacement stripping, if it goes by a different name, or if it's universal. Any help?
Pete M
I've heard that the 97+ Cherokee stripping is a good upgrade.
mjeff87
How destroyed is it? Is it still there, just flattened/deformed, or are there chunks missing out of it? You can rejuvenate it with some spray silicone....it gets inside the cells and re-expands them (but it will take a couple applications). Good PM for those seals is hit them 3-4X a year with the spray, keeps them conditioned. Of course, if pieces are missing, silicone ain't gonna help them then  Jeff
fiscus
Not dure if this'd work on an MJ, but on my old FSJ I got some Garage Door weatherstrip from Lowes. I got a roll for ~$15 & did both doors.

feerocknok
Thanks for the write up, jeepthing! Yeah, there are many chunks missing, and the wind blows harder than the heater, so I'll have to replace it. Don't know that I'll do the 97+ stuff, since my friendly can't close her door as it is. 87manche
check teamcherokee.com Cheap, if you email them they'll get you an Mj price for just the front doors out of the 4 door kit.
carnuck
The stripping is pretty good around here on the XJ 4 doors and that'll fit. I used some on my '73 J4000 to stop the wind noise and freezing drafts!
Duner
yea I had the missing 12" strip on the driver door jamb (thanks PO) but I just cruised the pick a part until I found a good one on an xj 4-door cost me $4 i think plus the $2 admission but I always leave with way more stuff than that.
