tube doors/doorless/ soft doors

so i have gone doorless (kicked myself after i realized i could just pop pins and not have to realign) and my dad deemed that unsafe and drove me to build tube doors. So i was at a party the other day with a couple of guys who claimed they knew a few more things about me. they claimed even though i meet washingtons footwell lip law and have a seatbelt. that a cop can still pull me over for it. i didnt believe him. is he blowing smoke or does his claim hold some truth? also i heard yj soft doors fit a comanche i was thinking that would be a good emergency door idea. does anybody have pictures?

You might call warrior products,they are a NW company and they make tube doors for the MJ/XJ so they might know about the laws.

 

Washington is bad about mud flaps and flairs but haven't heared anything about doors.

I used to ride street bikes so it's not a safety issue with me but I just don't get the doorless thing.......don't get that at all.
