steering popping

so it been going on for a while but now that i have the doors off i notice it a lot more but when i turn my steering make a pop noise. mostly happens at speed -45mph and in parking lots. might be ball joints any ideas?

You could have someone turn the steering wheel while you watch from underneath.

But something you rarely SEE but makes a popping noise is the track bar bracket to frame bolts need to be tightened up. I'd start there.

I started replacing everthing in my front end to eliminate a clunk. I was convinced it had to be a control arm bushing, turned out to be a u-joint with no grease left in the caps. If your track bar is old replace it anyways, but check tie rod ends and the frame bracket for track bar.

it has a new track bar but my dad is the one who installed it so its possible the bolts may have backed off. ill check it out

Could be the track bar bracket itself, could have rounded out like mine is. Just haven't had time to buy a new one
