itsjust me Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 like the title said how much? when i bought my comanche 3 years ago some decent rockers and cab corners came with my truck. they where cut from a to totaled out 2wd and never got installed on my truck. I'm not going to use them and I'm thinking about selling them. i did the magnet test and they seem to be all sheet metal. they need to be cleaned up a little, but they should be good to install. does any one make them anymore? what are they worth? Pete M Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 I see rust. what do the insides at the rusty locations look like?

itsjust me Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Image Not Found this is the inside one of the cab corners. can't push a screw driver threw it so it can't be that bad. they are more or less the same on both rockers.
itsjust me Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Image Not Found the is the worst spot. where the rocker meets the cab corner. the rust all seems to be surface at this point.
Pete M Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I ask because our trucks usually rust from the inside-out. especially the rockers, floor and bedsides. that to me looks like it started on the inside and is rusting out the seams. :(
Pete M Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 MJ rockers are different, but I do believe I've heard of XJ sheetmetal being used on an MJ (with some massaging). could be wrong about that though. the cab corner of course doesn't exist on an XJ.
FrankTheDog Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 The tricky part of using XJ rockers looks like tieing the rocker into the cab corner. Which it looks like I'll be doing. Those rockers aren't as clean as the two XJ's I'm parting out so I'll stick with what I have.
