HOrnbrod
Hey hornbrod, I would be a Proud Tasmanian from the north of the state. Been all over the mainland wherever we had relations with the ADF but never made it to Tasmania. My bad, should have. Hopefully some day. Great looking build so far, redefines frame-off MJ resto. COFFMAN
Now let the fun begin, where to start?? The donna car with the LS1 has been sitting for sometime & locked with a flat battery. So key less entry no go and the key i have dose not unlock the door with key. Luckly the trans has been pulled & starter still connected laying between cross member and motor. Was able to move starter back enough to connect jumper leads to charge battery to unlock door to pop hood.

Will probley start with interior as i brought some Dynamat last trip home. Would have loved to had my diffs sorted and ordered by now, but a little lost in what direction to take. So will continue on till i work it out. Hopefully the project i'm working on at the moment will end soon so i can get in some serious MJ time. COFFMAN
Will be having the Ls1 wiring loom mated to the XJ loom when home next, hopefully it won,t be to much of a head bannger for old mate. The other issue i have is i need to relocate the A/C compresser and alternator. The A/C needs to be moved to the R/H side where the alternator is now, as it will not fit beside the steering box. The alternator will be moved to to the top L/H side where the idler pulley is now. This will also put things back to where they are on the Aussie XJ's Can anyone help me with links for relocation kits for the Ls1, have found a few but all have the A/C on the left hand side. Hopeing for some good updates soon
jbain
Lookin' good Coffman........ did a port visit to Tasmania back in 2002 and will never forget the trip..... I was Kelp diving off the southern coast at 110 feet.... visibility was about 30 feet or less and we had been briefed to watch out for Sharks.....with a bottom time of less than 7 minutes we were taking full advantage of the scenery. In front of me I see a huge grey figure appearing out of the murky water and before I could even react it was on top of me...... the beast was less than 10 feet in front of me when it finally turned and I see this big round eye and realize it was only a Seal....... still scared the crap out of me....... : ) You guy's have a lovely State..... COFFMAN
It's a neat fit, R/H side especially L/H side heaps of room. Hope the steering shaft to steering box will clear the exhaust. LS1 engine wiring loom has been sent away to be mated to the XJ harness.

COFFMAN
Only took a couple days back in action now  My new favourite tool, with going from left to right 88 to 99 i have a few threaded studs that are spot welded on for retaining wiring etc. The thread inserter dose the job nicely. COFFMAN
Use of the thread inserts, will be good for attaching the wiring.
