madmax Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Wondering if I can salvage a driver's side door rubber weatherstripping moulding from a four door XJ and use if on my MJ's driver side door? They look the same. Appreciate any input. Madmax.
Dadinator Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Just make sure it's a 4 door. The 2 doors are longer.
Pete M Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 97+ is a thicker seal and should be an upgrade for ya.
Eagle Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 97+ is a thicker seal and should be an upgrade for ya. '97+ also has an extra wind seal at the upper front.
dave92cherokee Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 For one even thicker than the 97+ look for the door seal from a ZJ, they're thicker and slightly longer so will require trimming.

Thicker than the 97+? Do you have to slam the door closed? :D Have you actually done this, or are you just assuming it will work?

The moulding from all doors and hatch from the grands will fit when cut down slightly. So since it works for the xj's and the fronts are the same as the MJ's it would provide even better sealing.
