84scrambler Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 i want about 4 inches, i have looked at the tuff country and ruff country and a couple for 4 wheel drive hard ware, i am going to spend about 600$ or so witch would be the best route, this will be a daliy drive and weekend trail rig. thanks
jared Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 rear spring over axle conversion and your choice of the front lift. rough country is rather cheap, but they do ride smooth.
Oizarod115 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 used stuff is cheap. just need LCAs and UCAs but those arent as necessary. trackbar, probly build your own sway bar disconnects, shocks, SOA rear and pray that you don't get the wobbles
84scrambler Posted January 19, 2007 Author Posted January 19, 2007 so why dose every one on here seem to hate rusty so much parts. servce? just wondering
jared Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 i personally like rustys products, i never had a problem with them yet.
Oizarod115 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 i personally like rustys products, i never had a problem with them yet. seconded. longest wait we've ever had was 5 days for a 3000 dollar order that I'm sure wasn't just stuff they had lying around. usually they get stuff out here (to GA from AL) next day if we call before 2. some people have some horror stories about them though.
Oizarod115 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 don't worry bout rustys... snatch this deal up. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2950 with the RE drop brackets you'll flex like crazy, run stock CAs... and not have to worry bout DW. or rustys. other stuf... shocks, and springs, for 150 bucks... GET ON IT MAN!

CWLONGSHOT Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 My brother-in-law is up against this very question himself... He has a nice metric ton LWB 1988 MJ 4.0 5spd. He wants to run 35" tires. My suggestion to him is SOA rear and buy individual parts to make the front. You will need: Longer brake lines (3 of them) 1996 Dakota rear, Jeep YJ fronts Adj Lower control arms. (Uppers would be nice, but not required) Adj track bar (Spend come coin here, get a good one) Longer sway bar links. (Preferable JKS discos) 5.5" RE springs Bump stop extensions (Hockey pucks front and home built extensions for the rear) New perches for the rear Drop brackets would be very nice but not required... CW

Pete M Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 And some upgrades to the front axle shafts and U-joints. :D
