RynoMJ
I'm currently in the process of reinstalling my dash, the amount of unused connectors makes it really confusing. I have the harness hooked up to the headlight switch and the parking and turn signals are on but the headlights will not turn on. Is there something I could have missed behind the dash I'm pretty sure the switch is hooked up properly. Any ideas?
dfreeman616
check fuses/fuse box, related connectors, headlight switch, and also high/low beam switch in the steering column/wiper switch. no high beams or low beams? if you don't have either, then you might have a bad headlight switch, too. Jeep Driver
Is the ground wire connected to the switch? Mine was separate from the main harness connector.
RynoMJ
Is it a single wire? I think it is connected buy I can't tell, I'll have to look at it again tomorrow to see.
RynoMJ
Update: ok headlights work on high beam but not off the regular switch. All other interior lights are controlled fine with the switch. Any ideas?
carnuck
1/2 burnt bulbs?
RynoMJ
I'll have to try that, maybe. Could this be caused by the switch?
carnuck
Test one of the lights directly and you'll have your answer. Lowbeam is power to the center pin plus ground to one of the side terminals. (grounding one will result in dim light. The other will be lowbeam)
