banshee Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 ouch most expensive two hours wheeling I’ve ever spent 10:am installed new $250 radiator 11:am went wheeling 12:30pm clutch fan chewing on radiator 1:pm radiator removed at local shop to be welded 1:20pm stupid welder blew large hole into core instead of telling him and/or showing him how unhappy I was I just left, I’ll call tomorrow afternoon to see if he made any progress, Note got brownie points from wife for not showing my ^ss at shop… B… Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jimoshel Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 When radiators get hot they expand, as does most things. They are designed to expand forward, away from the engine and fan. banshee Posted August 25, 2011 Author Share Posted August 25, 2011 good news as of 5:pm this afternoon and $80 my radiator has been repaired I'm ready to install it first thing in the morning and do a little testing then Saturday head out around 6:an for Linton and redbird and a day of wheeling yes the radiator is toast, but should make it thru the day without issues we'll let the lawyer’s deal with everything else… looking forward to seeing you all there!!!B… Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So I have so I have something to keep me busy on my new 2 days a week schedule. I think I needed some time off any way.. About a year and a half of work without a vacation.
