kyleag89
Where do you guys buy your u-bolts? I need a set for the crappy D35 but I am not positive on the size or a good source to buy them.
MJRemi
I think any spring shop or driveline shop in your area will have the correct u bolts. Just tell them which axle you have. Also, JEGS carries them and I got mine from Husky Spring online but mine were for D44.
Eagle
Likewise, I have access to two local, old line commercial spring shops where I can get them custom bent to order. If I didn't live within range of these shops, I would start on-line with Husky Spring.
kyleag89
Thanks, are 2 3/4" u bolts the correct ID for the D35? I know they are 1/2" diameter by about 8" long for an aal.
HOrnbrod
Try Tom at Hell Creek. Got mine there for the D44. Excellent quality and price.
MJRemi
Thanks, are 2 3/4" u bolts the correct ID for the D35? I know they are 1/2" diameter by about 8" long for an aal. The D44 were 2 3/4" so the D35 might be a tad smaller. The 8'' should be OK but you can cut the 9'' if you want the 1" insurance. Sorry I can't be more helpful with the D35. mvusse
Like Eagle, I get mine custom made to order by a local shop that specialized in (mostly semi truck) suspension and brakes.
johnnyc
The 2.75" ones will work fine with the Dana 35, which has 2,.62" tubes. That's a difference of 0.13", which is only just a bit more than 1/8". I got 1/2" u-bolts from Currie for about $6-7 each.
