tell me if i'm crazy ........

I think it would be cool on a stockish rig but I can't see it working on a rig with a lot of flex.

I like the idea, but don't know why it would need to be "stockish" or not have a lot of flex. Isn't the reason for the disconnect

is so that you can have lots of flex? Wasn't there an aftermarket unit available, you just twisted a knob kind of like a hub, so

that you didn't have to crawl underneath? Still a push-button disconnect would be cool.

The rubicon unit doesn't dissconnect the links,it just seperates the sway bay into two sides so each side can move independently.

That means on a rig with a lot off flex the sway bar would run out of down travel and limit flex.

The JK Rubicons have the push button disconnect. When the JK first came out, Chrysler had a goof in the system so the dealers were selling the complete sway bar assembly for dirt cheap. I think they realized the mistake when they sold out of them in a few months. It is almost bolt on for the YJ.

There are companies who sell swaybar disconnects that are not a quick release link style

Wow , not cheap stuff . 2 outta 3 were a $1000 . Definately not worth the money IMO. The day I spend $1000 to disco my endlinks as oppose to manual doing it , is indeed the day I give up jeeping , or won the lotto , lol .

One day I will come back from a wheeling trip and my jeep won't even be worth $1000 :ack:
