If the water disappears fast enough he hoped to maybe still be able to plant soybeans to at least make some money off his land. Ho worked non stop for 47 hours building his dam. He began it (hired some folks to make his mote/island) before the flood even threatened that area, and his neighbors thought he was crazy at the time.
