W0G0W4R
I have a 89' MJ. I have to stop, put it in 4-Hi then drive away, stop, put it back in 2-Hi, back up 10 feet, then start driving forward again (just part of an older model right). This sucks, can I pop in a new T-Case (from a newer XJ or other Jeep) and be able to pop in and out of 4-Hi like my 95' XJ, is there a conversion kit, what years work best? Pete M
you should be able to do that with your current t-case. make sure the linkage isn't binding and that the little plastic bushings are in good shape.
mnkyboy
If you lock your CAD on the front axle it should make it shift in an out like your XJ.
Boots
Is it a manual or auto? Mine is a manual and I have to push in the clutch to get it to work.
duster1971
Mine is an 86 5spd don't have to use clutch from 2 ta 4h but as always 4l is another story. As for backing up 10 feet its recomended for most 4x4s as it allows the hubs or cad to disconect unless its like mine and permalocked then all ya got to do is right back to 2 and down the road. Yeah it is in fact the t-case that is resistant to go into and out of 4wd than it is possible the synchro might be shot, but unlikely. More likely are the problems stated above
