On a 2-wheel drive console can you cut out enough to put in the four wheel drive lever and stil put in the surrounding ring that has the 4-hi and 4-low markings

The consoles are the same, there's just a change tray insert where the trans shifter goes (gray one).

Disregard the arrows they were for something else.

yes there is a hole in the floor.

your question has already been answered, but here's a pic of my 2wd. i just pulled the carpet about a week ago

i was surprised to see it. never really thought about it before, but yes, that silver plate is just bolted in there
