LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
No; perches are at different widths.

mnkyboy
4.5" most likely won't be enough to match the rear. you usually need 6-6.5 to make it sit level
HOrnbrod
Pete, Can you put dimensions on that drawing? :brows:

mnkyboy
Spacers are cheap, what's your plan for the rest of the lift?
the manche
i plane on doin soa in the rear stock leafs front 4.5 inch springs adj lower control arms maybe uppers now that i have to go 6.5 to match the rear
mnkyboy
You will also need an adj track bar,new shocks, and longer brake lines
Pete M
SOA gives anywhere from 5 to 6.5 depending on the condition of your leafs and the specific perches you use. 2wd MJ leafs typically sit a bit lower than 4wd leafs.
the manche
yeah i have the track bar and all i have left to buy is upper arms and brake lines would i need a drop Pittman arm?
Pete M
no. drop pitmans should only go in if you also get a drop bracket with the trackbar. messign with the angles can induce bumpsteer (meaning as the suspension moves up and down, it can literally turn the steering wheel out of your hands) Pete, Can you put dimensions on that drawing? :brows: actually, I left them off on purpose. I fear that on "paper" the numbers look close enough that guys might think they can just bolt in that XJ axle without moving the perches. and that's bad. I'm just looking for the fixed X-axis SOA/SUA dimensions from the flanges or centre-to-centre for XJ and MJ perches if you have them.
Pete M
I wanna say the MJ is 42 and the XJ is just shy of 44. lord only knows if my poor brain is remembering that right. :dunno:
