heading down to GA for my nephew's baptism. will be on the road and out of touch on the 25th and on the 1st, but should have internet in between when I'm in GA. Guess I'll find out just how reliable my 97 town'n'country is. :D So far I haven't gone more than 10 miles at a time since I fired it up for winter DD duties.

I'll be here if you need something urgent. I'm Pete's somewhat-can-get-it-done-but-tries-not-to-crash-the-forum-while-guessing-at-the-solution-cautiously-and-figuring-it-out...

Go-to guy.

Yea, yea. I'm a network guy. I have run into you folks before. Fling it on the wall, see what sticks and call that the solution. :rotf:

Pete, if the furthest you get is US30 in Indiana, give me a call and I will help you get back home.

made it all the way to GA. :D the van performed admirably (212k miles on her now) and the trip was pretty uneventful.

kinda chilly down here...

Ya think? I'm a lot further south then that and we were below 32 this morning. I passed a retainage pond near the house and could have sworn the ducks were frozen to the inlet pipe.

I would think that you would be happy about being "CHILLY" as compared to your home in Michigan. ;)

after 12 hours I made it home. snow tires rock. heading back into the thick of it to move some snow around in an orderly fashion. that is all.

done it many times now. my sis moved to GA years ago and my parents got a house nearby soon after, so it's become a pretty routine journey. 11.5 hours on a real good day, 15 is the record high. :ack: It's easier with multiple drivers.

We used to drive straight through to Disney World. now a days I fly to GA and then we drive from there. 7.5 hours seems like nothin'. :D
