May or may not be the right place for this query:

I would like to locate a source for diamond plate

bed rails and tailgate rail, similar to what DeeZee

offers for more abundant truck models. Anyone know??

Unless you luck out and find a newly discovered OEM stash or come across some in the JY, FORGET IT! There ain't any. You can get a 4'X8' sheet and make your own or look for some from a similar truck, S10, Ford Ranger, etc.

Someone just fabbed up these on his own MJ. Let me find it.

Edit: PACIFIER made these for his. My bed rails are so awful, these would be a perfect fix.

While I find / buy the additional parts for the tranny swap, I decided to continue working on other areas of the MJ.

The bed rail armor has been installed.

I'd stay away from aluminum, and definitely use steel rivets. had these on a customer's comanche. he wanted them back on after the paint job. they cause rust like a mofo up north here.

I got a tailgate protector in diamond plate for a Ranger, too wide, as in thick. I cut about an inch off with my table saw. After that it fit perfect. Stainless screws and silicone in between.

Good stuff, thanks. What did pacifier make his out of. Looks good. I like the idea of black diamond plate, though, too

Since the old topic resurfaced, I ended up taking some measurements and

had a local fabricator make me some rails using aluminum diamond plate -

four pieces. Had to do some final fitting/trimming, but very pleased with them.
