91coMANche
How come I have no dash lights and no rear lights with the headlights on but I still have brake lights when I step on the pedal? I looked at the fuse box and there is zero evidence of brake fluid dripping down from the clutch rod area. Am I missing which fuse I was supposed to look at? Anything else I should look at? johnnyc
I kept blowing the dash light/tail light fuse. Turned out to be a short in the trailer wiring.
ryno56
I kept blowing the dash light/tail light fuse. Turned out to be a short in the trailer wiring. ditto. I tore out all the crappy corroded trailer wiring and haven't blown one since.
Geonovast
Yup, dash lights share a fuse with the tails, most likely so you'd know something was wrong if you lost your tails.
91coMANche
Thanks all! I got it running by finding the fuse for the "parking lights" actually does the dash too. Its got a fuse in it now and works but I suspect I'll have to cut out the trailer wires but its too cold out to do that now.

91coMANche
Now its blowing fuses INSTANTLY. I don't have trailer wires but I do have some shoddy tag light wiring. Could those do this? Quick I'm taking a road trip in an hour and a half!
91coMANche
GOT IT! There is a live wire by the parking brake with a spade connector attached. I have no idea what it is but I saw it sparking...too bad I went through 10 fuses until I figured it all out. What does the live black wire by the parking brake pedal control?
