91coMANche
My truck has a rear slider window but it sits outside the sheetmetal by about 3/4". I am not sure if it is factor or aftermarket. Does anyone have a picture of a factory rear window they wouldn't mind sharing with me?

Does anyone have a picture of a factory rear window they wouldn't mind sharing with me? hope this helps. previous owner siliconed a plexi glass sheet in place of the broken out part, and then I locked the doors without realizing the key doesn't work, so I had to break it to get in lol. 91coMANche
Ah so that is factory. Mine is not factory. I guess I should find one before I get her painted soon. I'll be pulling the back window anyway.

Does anyone have a picture of a factory rear window they wouldn't mind sharing with me? Mine sits outside the sheet metal also.. but only about 1/4 inch...Is the window supposed to have rubber weatherstripping around it on the outside to seal it to the metal? or? 91coMANche
Mine has a rubber gasket and then a frame that sits 3/4" to 1" outside the sheetmetal. I don't think its factory. It doesn't bother me but it doesn't seem factory.
64 Cheyenne
My 88 has a factory slider swapped in, uses a factory rubber gasket. My friend has an 86, his slider is aftermarket, has a faux look to the metal trim. Looks like a rubber gasket, but no rubber gasket used. Gonna guess on this, rubber gasket-factory. No gasket-aftermarket.
87Warrior
Factory? Dealer installed? Something from the mid 90's? I don't know. My rear slider also sits out about 3/4" and the gasket around the window frame is rubber. It was on the truck when I bought it. Edit: Wow, my 1,000th post!!!
